Comfort Meals is dedicated to providing nourishing, home-cooked meals to individuals facing immediate-need food insecurity due to significant life challenges. By offering comforting,
nutritious food, we aim to ease the burden on those who lack the time, resources, or ability to
cook for themselves.
Founded in 2025, Comfort Meals began as a small, community-driven response to the growing need for immediate food support during times of personal crisis. Rooted in the belief that everyone deserves the dignity of a nourishing meal, we set out to serve individuals in Raleigh, NC who are facing acute food insecurity—especially those from marginalized and underserved communities. Though we’re new, our mission is clear: to provide care, comfort, and connection through home-cooked meals that offer relief when it's needed most.
Comfort Meals is guided by a diverse team of community leaders, business professionals, and nonprofit experts who provide strategic oversight and governance. Working alongside them is a dedicated group of volunteers, including chefs and home cooks who prepare nourishing meals, drivers who deliver them to our partner community agencies, and administrative support focused on fundraising and outreach. Together, we are united by a shared commitment to compassion, dignity, and community care—one meal at a time.
